When Xchart is linked to a Denticon account it works like this:
Ensure the patient has a scheduled appointment in Denticon before proceeding.
Open the patient’s chart in Denticon.
Click the “Anesthesia Record” button located in the upper right corner, just above the odontogram.
You will be guided through a handoff process, which:
Imports and updates all necessary information from Denticon into Xchart.
Automatically signs you into Xchart using your user account.
Opens a new Xchart Anesthesia Record with the following details pre-filled:
Patient Name and Date of Birth
Appointment Information
Provider Name and Details
In the background, Denticon will automatically generate a progress note linked to this anesthesia record.
Once the provider signs and finalizes the record in Xchart, it will be automatically attached to the Denticon progress note, identifiable by a paperclip icon. This allows the anesthesia record to be viewed at any time.
If a case has been started in Xchart but the final record has yet to be finalized the below picture will show you how that will look within Denticon.
The top row shows an example of an anesthesia record that has been started, but is not yet finalized in Xchart. If users see this, it is an indication that the provider needs to log into Xchart and finalize/sign the record.
The lower row is an example of what happens when the record is finalized. The entire report will become an attachment to the progress note and you can click this link to view the full PDF report.
Managing Members and Locations in Xchart utilizing the Denticon integration:
Adding Members Automatically
You don’t need to add members manually to your Xchart account.
When a member accesses Xchart through Denticon, they will automatically be added to your Xchart organization.
Adding Locations Automatically
Locations are added to Xchart just like members.
Once location details are entered in a case within Denticon, and you "Launch Xchart" for that case, the location will automatically be added to your Xchart organization.
