For Deep or Moderate Sedation

Charting gases within deep or moderate sedation, such as Sevoflurane and other anesthetic gases can be covered in two ways:

1. If you select Deep or GA, those gases appear on the Drugs / Inhalation Agents page for manual entry. This is for charting what you've set the machine settings to.

2. If you have a compatible monitor that reports inspired / expired numbers for those, they will be recorded as part of vitals. These, in contrast to the above, records how much was actually inhaled/exhaled by the patient.

You can use one or both, depending on what you want on your chart.
