On Windows 10 or 11:

  1. Right-click on the time and date display on the taskbar (usually found on the bottom right corner of your screen).

  2. Click on "Adjust date/time" or just "Date and time settings" if you see that option directly.

  3. In the "Date & time" settings window, make sure the toggle for "Set time automatically" amd for "Set time zone automatically" are both enabled.

  4. Then click "Sync now" under additional settings and confirm that date and time in the bottom corner of the screen is now accurate.

On Mac OS X:

  1. Click on the Apple menu () in the top left corner of your screen.

  2. Select "System Settings" from the dropdown menu.

  3. Type "date" in the search box at the top left and select "Date & Time"

  4. Make sure that both the toggle for "Set date and time automatically," and "Set timezone automatically using current locaiton" is turned on.

  5. Close the "System Preferences" window to save your settings.
