When your Xchart is linked to a CareStack account it works like this:
Inside CareStack, you'll need their Clinical Cases feature which allows you to link various appointments and other resources into a "Case."
Open a patient.
Click the Cases item in the menu on the left
Select View Details on the case you want.
Select the Appointments tab.
Find the appointment for the surgery day and hover over Launch Xchart link.
Select Xchart Surgery Details
You'll be taken through a handoff process that will import and update anything Xchart needs from this case. And then drop you directly into an Xchart Anesthesia Record with the following items created and/or updated:
8. When an appointment that has been linked in this way is signed/finalized in Xchart, Xchart will automatically post the PDF file back to CareStack and it will show up in BOTH the "documents" tab for that clinical case, and in the documents tab for that patient.
NOTE: You need to have a "clinical case" attached to the appointment details for the case to appear in the workflow described above.
Managing Members and Locations in Xchart with CareStack
Adding Members Automatically
You don’t need to add members manually to your Xchart account.
When a member accesses Xchart through CareStack, they will automatically be added to your Xchart organization.
Adding Locations Automatically
Locations are added to Xchart just like members.
Once location details are entered in a case within CareStack, and you "Launch Xchart" for that case, the location will automatically be added to your Xchart organization.
