How to cover large distances with Xlink adapter

For scenarios where the computer is far away from the vitals monitor

In most of our YouTube videos we show the Xlink adapter being positioned close to the back of the monitor with a short ethernet cable and using one of the USB ports on the back to power the adapter like this:

But, sometimes, due to how the room is configured, it's hard to get the monitor and computer that close together. Perhaps they're on opposite sides of the room with no great way to put a computer near the monitor.

In this scenario, trying to extend the Serial to USB cable will lead to connectivity issues.

Instead, make the ethernet cable long, as shown below:
