Some Xchart users have never signed into Xchart directly. Instead they sign in by launching Xchart via an integrated 3rd party like CareStack or Denticon.
For various reasons signing in via the 3rd party is not always preferable. Perhaps you'd like to be able to more easily access your Xchart account via your phone, for example.
To do this, you need to also create a direct login for your Xchart account.
How to create a direct Xchart login:
Sign in via the 3rd party first like you normally would. For example, log into your account on CareStack or Denticon then launch Xchart. You'll be taken to the handoff application and signed into your linked account on Xchart.com.
If you go directly into the patients anesthesia chart (from the handoff) you will want to get out of that by selecting the "open case manager" button in the upper left corner. Otherwise, go to step 3.
Navigate to the "Profile" page by clicking the little gear icon in the upper right corner of the Case Manager:
On this login page, you'll see an option for creating a direct login. Once you've created that login and linked it to your current EMR software login you'll be all set.
Now you can open Xchart on any device by opening a web browser, go to Xchart.com and click the "sign in" button in the upper right corner to access your account without having to go through the 3rd party app.
