We know you know how important it is to finalize a case but we also know mistakes are made and sometimes we may need to edit details after the case has been finalized.

On Xchart.com you have 24 hours from when a case was finalized to go back into the case and edit what you need. Only the account that signed the final report can unfinalize it.

Click on the appointment in the calendar and it will bring you to this screen:

Once you click "Unfinalize" it is as if it was never signed.

You can then change details on the report or change information on the appointment.

When you sign it again, it will finalize it and reset the 24-hour clock. You will have another 24 hours, during which you can make a change before it locks you out.

If it has been more than 24 hours, and you have been locked out, you will have to contact [email protected] and we can do it for you.

Special admin unfinalizing option for large organizations

For some organization types, it makes sense to grant internal admins the ability to unfinalize cases for their providers. For example, a large group of mobile anesthesia providers may not want to have to contact support each time they need to override the 24 hour time limit to fix an error. To support this use case, we (Xchart support), can enable/disable this feature for individual orgs. Contact [email protected] if you're interested in this.
