To connect the Mindray DPM 6 you'll need an Xlink box from us, here at Xchart. You can get one, pre-configured for the DPM series, by emailing us at: [email protected]

Step #1: Configure the monitor (only need to do this once)

There is only one setting you need to change on your monitor and you get to it as follows:

  1. Menu

  2. Maintenance

  3. User Maintenance

  4. Enter password: 888888

  5. Network Setup.

  6. Enter this exact IP Address: 192.168.0.201

Step #2: Connect your Xlink kit to the back of the monitor as shown here:

Step #3: Open case in Xchart and select "Mindray HL7" when connecting your monitor

  1. Login to your dashboard at Xchart.com OR in the web browser go to xchart.com/test (this will take you straight to step 4)

  2. Select the settings wheel in the upper right corner.

  3. Select "test monitor connection"

  4. You'll get a pop-up reminding you this is a fake case and no data will be saved. You can select the "I understand, let me at it!" button

  5. Once in the fake chart you can test the connection from either of the 2 "connect vitals monitor" buttons. One will ALWAYS be displayed at the top of the screen for you to easily access, but it will also be under the monitor set up page.

  6. Select the monitor you are trying to connect with Xchart. NOTE: If you are using an Xlink 1.0 (small black box) to connect your monitor you will need to select the Mindray HL7 option.

  7. Select "show connection selector"

  8. Select the correct connection. A good hint to know if your cable is being displayed in this box is by unplugging it from the computer you are working on. If an option in the box disappears and then reappears once plugged back in, that is the option you want to select.

NOTE: If you DO NOT have anything appear in the connection selector box you may need to download a driver onto your computer. This process can be done by following these steps, it's usually the prolific driver: https://help.xchart.com/en/articles/9189747-install-prolific-driver-windows

  9. Select "use this connection"

  10. Once back to the patients chart it should now have the blue bar displayed across the screen. This bar is a good indicator letting you know you are connected to a vitals monitor and vitals are coming in automatically. If you do not have a blue bar across the top of the chart you are NOT connected to a monitor and live vitals are NOT coming in automatically.
