There are a couple ways to edit or modify an existing preset within Xchart. The first way is to just do it from the dashboard (the calendar screen). NOTE: presets can only be created, modified or edited by providers or admins.
Login to your account at Xchart.com
From your dashboard screen select "case presets" from the blue bar on the left.
Select the specific preset you would like to make changes to
a. At this point you can either select "edit" which will allow you to delete specific items from the preset list.
b. OR you can select "open as fake case"- this will take you into an anesthesia chart (fake case) where you can then add, delete or modify any changes to the specific preset you have selected. (if choosing this option jump to step #7)
If you select "edit" it will take you to this screen where you can make changes and once you are finished select "done editing"
Then select "save"
If you select "open as fake case" this will take you into a chart where you can make any changes you would like to the specific preset you have selected. Once you are done modifying the preset go to the menu in the upper right hand corner
Select "save/update preset"
Make sure the preset name and information is how you want them, then select "save."
You can then select "open case manager" in the upper left to take you back to your dashboard to make any other modifications you may need.
How to modify or edit a preset while in a patients chart during a sedation case.
- this is good if you are in the middle of a sedation appointment and you add information to the case you wish was a part of the existing preset you selected when you initially opened the case.
While in the middle of a case navigate to your name/settings wheel in the upper right hand corner (make sure the information you want added to the preset is already selected/added to the case you are in to update the changes).
Select save/update preset
This will then give you the option to save and update the existing preset you selected initially upon starting the case, or create a completely new preset with the information you added in the case.
Once you've made/reviewed your changes you can hit save and it will automatically drop you back into the current case you are working in.
